hide and seek. the not fun kind
Warnings: Probably copious violence and angry people
Location: The apartment district, near the clock tower, headed east towards the bridge
Characters: Eridan, Casey, Edward
When: Right after Eridan and Casey made plans to hunt down the Riddler, and the Riddler has sunk deeper into his shadow deal
Summary: Revenge! Eridan is on the warpath, and so is Casey. They have a score to settle.
Eridan had been waiting for this chance for a while. Being alone in the darkness of the subway system for so long didn't take the edge off his anger about having his rifle taken - if anything, it just made him more bitter. His mood was rapidly declining, and he wanted someone to take it out on - so it might as well be the Riddler, right?
One thing the subways taught him, other than not to trust his own shadow, was how to wield magic a little better. Eridan had also managed to keep himself convinced that his wand was the outlet for his magic - it stood to reason, in his opinion - and so he kept it cautiously held out in front of him as he made his way through the city.
Somewhere nearby he could hear the faint sounds of his recent ally making the same rounds, and despite being a huge antisocial jerk, Eridan couldn't help but feel a little more confident knowing someone else was on his side. Sooner or later they were going to find their target, and then - well, Eridan didn't need a plan for then, but his mind was coming up with some creative ideas anyway.
"This is stupid." Talking to himself was also a thing he'd started doing lately.
